More than 100 volunteers, ages 5 to 90, filled a work line at Glenview United Methodist Church and assembled 3,000 meal packs. Journal & Topics reported on October 7, 2026, that Midwest Mission, near Springfield, Illinois, loaded the packs to send on. Pastor Rosa Lee, new to the church, worked the line with everyone else. The Glenbrook South Interact Club took part for a third year. The afternoon was a plain job done in volume: bags filled, stacked, and carried out the door.
