On September 15, firefighter and paramedic Kristian Roch was taking out the trash behind Stoughton Station 2 when something moved in the dumpster. The Animal Rescue Site, citing WBSM, reported on October 8, 2026, that he went back for colleague Timothy Guillotte. They were not sure what was in the bags. Inside one of them was a kitten. Roch lifted it out, and Guillotte wrapped it in a towel. Guillotte said the kitten was too small to have climbed the concrete enclosure on its own, and he believes someone put it there.
Guillotte's wife, whose family has a farm in Rochester, Massachusetts, said they would take it. They named the kitten Meeko. It lives on that farm, and the two firefighters still see it because Guillotte co-owns GMEC-EMT, where Roch teaches.
